Re: ADE7758 Watt Gain Calibration

Hi Ben

I can help with your query. I looked at your data and one concern that I have is about the 4060d or 16480d WATTHR register reading. Why do you get two very different readings? Which one do you get with default register values for WDIV, APCFNUM and APCFDEN?

Also, I wish to confirm a few points:

1. Do you follow all steps as recommended in page 49/50 of Rev.E datasheet?

Example: Resetting gain registers to 0

2. Is the LINECYC register set to 1800d? Make sure to set just one of the bits in the [3:5] bit range of LCYCMODE register in that case. Enabling more than one ZXSEL bit will include multiple phases' ZX to compute half-line cycles and hence the accumulation time will be shorter.

Also, if you don't care about the CF pulse output, you can leave the CF related registers at default. MC is meter constant and it is generally decided based on how much impulses you need per kWh on your CF pins. Assuming a standard value of 3200 makes sense in your case.

Regards

hmani
