Jim,
I spent 27 years at National Semi, and all of the op amp data sheets listed total supply current for the package, the reasoning being as you noted, you can't turn off certain ones. So it seemed strange to me when I came to ADI seven years ago that they "always" had supply current per amplifier. After working with it for awhile, I like the per amplifier number, especially when using product selection tables. Many op amp families have singles, duals and quads, so I can select whatever I need. Having said that, the OP467 came out in 1993, and judging by the OP prefix, was probably designed by Precision Monolithics, (PMI) that ADI bought years ago. So it has total supply current, which is not the standard in the op amp group today.
Another thing to watch out for is "A" and "B" grades. Some manufacturers have "A" as the tight grade, some the loose grade. Within ADI, we use both depending on the product line and the age of the part.
