I recently purchased the ADE7878 Evaluation board and are having a few issues with getting it set up. We have set it up following the evaluation board manual with reference to the datasheet.
Jumper positions
When purchased the jumpers JP3 and JP12 were not connected as specified in the Evaluation board manual:-
- JP3 is closed rather than 'unsoldered', connecting the pad metal to AGND.
- JP12 has no connections made, pin 2 of the jumper is not connected to pin 3 as stated in the manual. Does this mean DGND (pin 6) on the ADE chip is floating?
Should these be changed to follow the 'default' positions stated in the manual?
VREF, AVDD and DVDD
I am not seeing any voltage present on these pins.
Any guidance on how to resolve these issues would be greatly appreciated.
