Re: AD5933: Can “Settling Time Cycles” register value be 0?

Hi Miguel,

Thanks for your message.

The frequency is well within 1-100KHz range advertised in the datasheet, how can it be "too low"?

How the coherence of sampling or lack thereof can depend on the number of settling cycles? Assuming there is some interference from the utility line - it is always present regardless of settling cycles. If there is incomplete suppression of DC in DFT detector - it it is always present regardless of settling cycles either... UNLESS 0 value causes the DFT detector to become incoherent big time.

Which brings us back to my original request for information - is there a document (not just another theory) that could shed some light as to what 0 value does to the functioning of this device?

Thank you for your suggestions, but I do not think it is productive testing any more theories. Information is either available or it is not.

Best regards,

Snorlax
