Hi Mark,
oha, I did not want to convey the idea that this was purely a question of personal taste or our convenience. It is more grounded in an (albeit potentially too dogmatic) requirement of minimal correlation in the noise corrupting the measurements. Since I am not sure which experiments would be of interest to you, I propose the following: Based on existing datasets, we will provide our two estimates of the location of the coordinate frame with disabled POP alignment and with respect to that corner (with the caveat that our means of determining the optical center of the camera for hand-measuring is limited). As soon as there is sufficient time, (which will hopefully be tomorrow + some time for processing) we will enable the POP option and rerun a set of datasets and provide you with these estimates as well as hand measurements of where we would expect the POP to be located at with respect to the cameras.
Do those experiments sound of interest to you? Do you have recommendations of how to design the experiments instead?
Best, Joern
